科學的考古學 Scientific Archaeology 近代考古學採納地球科學、動植物學及化學等科技手段搜集、記錄與分析材料，使許多未受重視的材料搖身變成解讀過去的關鍵。但是運用科學技術並不意味就是科學研究；考古研究過程相當複雜，任何步驟都因研究者的主觀因素與理論取向，而影響問題與資料的記錄、分析與詮釋，因此嚴謹的推理、論證過程與公開的研究也很重要。 Modern archaeology absorbs research methods from various disciplines to collect, record, and analyze archaeological materials, which leads to many unnoticed materials becoming the key to understanding the past. However, using scientific methods does not necessary mean scientific research. It is more important to explain the past through serious and logical processes.
