-In recent years, the Museum of Prehistory has collected a large number of prehistoric artifacts from the excavations at the sites within Taiwan Science-based Industrial Park in Tainan and at some other sites on the east coast of Taiwan.The Museum has persistently purchased ethnographical specimens of Taiwan, Southeast Asia, Oceania and southwest China from private collectors. This exhibition displays a few selected pieces of the new collections.

-This exhibition aimed to introduce the prehistoric stone tool-making workshops found on the Qimei and their implications for the seafaring activities of the ancient Austronesian-speaking peoples. The exhibition includes introduction to the formation of the basalts of Penghu, the prehistoric stone tool-making workshops on the Qimei Island, and the general images of the ancient seafaring between Penghu and Taiwan.

This yearˇ¦s exhibition holds a special exhibition of roosters, the contents of which includes the roosters in archaeological discoveries, the practical using of roosters in the culture of the indigenous people,and the NMPˇ¦S new collection of Miaoˇ¦s costume related to rooster.
