Historic inspection and protection of Expressway 11 Eastern Coast Highway in Hualien County (Proposal directors: Mei-cheng Yeh, Kun-shiu Li)

The plan began in June 1997, as Directorate General of Highways resolved to begin the inspection from one end of Hualien Bridge (4K+880) to Dafeng Village (73K+661) along with the construction progress.

Today, the project has completed three phase, and excavation has been conducted on Dakeng Relics, Yanliao Relics, and Harbor Relics. It is now in the fourth phase, which is excavation in area of 69K+250-71K+200, namely Fengbing Township. The roadside of 70K+200 is the location of Chingpu Relics, which is now the focus of this project. Excavation for Chingpu Relics has began since May 2004.
